瞳
French painter Hubert de Watrigant – whose work focuses on horses and jockeys – hailed
from a horse-breeding family. De Watrigant grew up with horses which he observed very
closely. Such a unique childhood experience had a great impact on his artwork and style
in his painter’s career. Hubert de Watrigant is also one of the artists working closely with
fashion brand Hermès. This piece of 108 x 76 cm work – entitled “L’Oeil” – was painted
with acrylic paint and charcoal pencil. With his delicate and refined strokes, de Watrigant
confidently depicts the racing liveliness and spirit of the jockey and the horse. The art
piece is embellished with coloured drip marks that contrast with the charcoal lines. This
technique helps to highlight the eyes of the horse and heighten the intelligence and
sensitivity conveyed in them. The painting is exhibited at The Alpina Mountain Resort and
Spa now.

以马匹及骑师为创作主轴的法国画家休伯特瓦德甘成长于一个育马家庭，由于自小与马匹为伍，
对骏马自有入微观察，这也间接影响了他未来的创作风格与方向。他也是著名时尚品牌爱马仕长期
合作的艺术家之一。这幅大 108 x 76 cm，名为“双瞳”的画作由丙稀颜料和炭笔为创作媒材，以细腻、
利落的笔触，勾勒出骏马及骑师的俊朗英姿，也展现了画家的自信，同时表达了速度与力度。画作
在渲染的同时，保留了颜料滑落的水滴，与炭笔摩擦粉末的笔触形成对比，也加强了马匹双眼所散
发出的灵性及睿智光彩。 画作而今展列于俱乐部位于恰岑的爱宾娜滑雪水疗度假酒店。
