Amomentous occasion for the
China Horse Club as Yellow
Agate won its first US G1 stakes
debut, bringing the total number of
triumphs by the club to 180.
October 8, 2016 was an historic occasion
for the CHC when two-year-old filly,
Yellow Agate, made a late push to claim
its first US G1 wins at Belmont Park.
After a maiden win in September, the
Grade 1 Frizette was only the second
career start for Yellow Agate.
With jockey Franco showing the way,
the Clement trainee trailed early in the
race, but rallied in the turn, and tracked
through the stretch before a final surge to good and I wanted to settle her down,
secure a close head win.
