Leading French equestrian artist, Hubert de Watrigant,
searches for inspiration through stillness. "Red, Yellow
Stars" is his work depicting the charged intensity of
the China Horse Club jockey and his horse just before
the start of a race. "Red,Yellow Stars" is a mixed media
collage painted with fluid brushstrokes to create the
overall effect of liveliness and exuberance. The bold
spirit of both man and horse is also effectively captured
in the artwork. Fine detailing of the bridle and bridle
parts reflects the artist's close attention to detail and
good flow control, much like how a jockey would pilot
his horse in a race. Against a light wash of sepia in the
background, "Red,Yellow Stars" appears more striking.

以马为创作主轴的法国画家休伯特∙瓦德甘在创作时，一
直在静态中寻找动感。“红黄五星”，以 CHC 杰士马主俱
乐部的骑师及赛马作为主题，展现出骑师与赛马在上场前
蓄势待发的心情写照。“红黄五星”的画作以混合媒介为
创作素材，基底为拼贴，增加了画作的厚度，并搭配洒脱
的笔触，创造出速度与不羁的效果，骑师与骏马的英姿均
以相似的笔触完成。此画除了有一气呵成的气势之外，在
细节之处更细腻地勾勒出勒马绳和其他配件，彰显出画家
“收”与“放“的力度，与速度赛马不谋而同。在偏棕褐
色的调子中，“红黄五星”更为亮眼。
