The Golden Slipper Day in Sydney, Australia, is
a long established annual racing event that is
highly regarded in the industry, second only to the
Melbourne Cup. The highlight of the day is the Golden
Slipper Stakes, the richest race in the world for two-year-
old thoroughbreds, with a prize pool of AUD3.5 million
(approximately RMB17, 950,000).
On Golden Slipper Day, the CHC’s distinctive red and
yellow silks made their appearance in Race 8 – The Galaxy.
The Galaxy is a Group 1 sprint race featuring thoroughbreds
