The Eclipse awards ceremony is the thoroughbred MAjestic 57
racing industry’s version of the Oscars. Named after the
undefeated 18th-century racehorse, Eclipse, the Eclipse
awards are presented annually in the US making this year
the 47th edition of the awards that began in 1971. The
prestigious awards are sponsored and voted by the National
Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), Daily Racing
Form and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters
(NTWAB).
