Experience Traditional Swiss Hospitality
Located within a five-minute walk from the Alpina
Mountain Resort & Spa is its sister hotel, the Alpina
Lodge. The Alpina Lodge was one of the first hotels
in Tschiertschen, opening in 1894 under the name
Pension Bruesch. The hotel has since been renamed
several times until the acquisition made by CHC’s
Chairman, Teo Ah Khing, five years ago when it was
known as Hotel Gürgaletsch. Following extensive
renovation, the hotel reopened with a new name –
The Alpina Lodge.
The Alpina Lodge features 22 single, double and
family rooms with traditional wooden architecture.
The Z’Gürgaletsch restaurant is tastefully furnished
with vintage wooden furniture, a parquet floor and
hanging lights made from old milk churns. Guests
can take in breathtaking views of the mountains
while savouring the local offerings that the kitchen is
well known for.
Marlies and Michael Gehring, managers of The
Alpina Lodge and The Alpina Mountain Resort
& Spa, recognised that the two historic hotels have
their own distinct characters. While the four-star
Alpina Mountain Resort & Spa exudes sustainable
luxury and elegance, The Alpina Lodge oozes
rustic charm. The Gehrings are passionate about
providing authentic hospitality and customer
service to all their guests, and everyone on the team
is equally committed to creating the best Alpine
experience for their guests.
