Horse Industries has been promoting Ordos as the 鄂尔多斯无疫区开建
horse capital of China through a series of initiatives Establishment Of An
aimed at driving the Chinese horse industry Equine Disease Free Zone
in Ordos and China. In 2018, Yitai Desert Star In Ordos
received an implementation plan approval from
the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for Deputy Director of China Animal Health and Epidemiology Center,
the establishment of an Equine Disease Free Zone Chief Scientist and Professional Committee of World Animal Health
(EDFZ) in Ejin Horo Banner. On 21 July 2018, Organisation Professor Zheng Zengren on-the-site inspection

古鄂尔多斯市伊金霍洛旗无规定马属动物疫病区建设启动
仪 式 暨 中 期 评 估 推 进 会 圆 满 举 行，标 志 着 伊旗 无 规 定马 属
动 物 疫 病区 建 设 工作已由前 期 筹 备 阶段 过 渡 到 基 础 设 施 建
设、技 术 措 施 落 实 的 实 质 性 阶 段。这也 标 志 着 伊 金 霍 洛 旗
成 为国 家农 业农 村 部 继 广州从化 之 后 第 二家 批 准 建 设 的 无
规定马属动物疫病区。
